Amazon Unboxed is a Rip-Off...
Full review I was a loyal, good customer for Amazon.com until I was ripped off by Amazon's Unboxed service. I paid $3.99 for a video from the online Amazon Unboxed Service. The Amazon Unboxed Video software kept freezing up my PC. To help the problem, I uninstalled and reinstalled the software. During the uninstall process, I selected the "temporary uninstall" option which SHOULD keep your videos and their licenses. When I reinstalled the software and finally got it to work, it told me that the license was no longer valid. My call to Amazon customer service was of no help. They told me that I would get assistance in less than 48 hours. Not a word! After approximately 4 days, I finally got a response telling me that I could download the movie again. After it downloaded, the same problem repeated again. To make matters worse, the customer service rep told me that Amazon Unboxed does not give refunds. They only provide technical support (which was absolutely useless in my case). Do yourself a favor and don't give Amazon Unboxed your money for horrible service. They are more concerned with you attempting to copy their movies than they are concerned about loyal, paying customers seeing them. I really hope that this will help someone out there not to give their money away. Sincerely, A Former Amazon Customer |
