Pros: Lots of merchandise, reasonable price most of the time, friendly service
Cons: Some items cost too much

I am a new comer to ebay.com. Of course I had heard of the website and read several epinions that highly recommended ebay.com to potential users but never had the courage to try the website. Then one day my husband decided to check out what ebay.com had to offer. We were looking for a training collar for our two oversized black labs. My husband found exactly what he was looking for at a reasonable price so he decided to order it. Or should I say bid on it. Luckily he won and the price was reasonable.

At first I was skeptical about ordering something from a complete stranger on ebay.com. Would we actually see our purchases or was it a hoax? First my husband got an email confirming his bid and the price. Then he emailed the lady back. Instead of dealing with a computerized program we were actually dealing with a real human being. She emailed my husband back and confirmed the purchase. Explained how long it would take and how to pay. Since she only excepted Paypal, credit cards, and money orders we sent a money order. I didn't want to give my credit card number out. Especially when it is hooked directly into the checking account. (We do have a paypal account now but it was not hooked up at the time of this purchase.)

Did we get our purchase? I am happy to write that we did receive our purchase Priority Mail. Not first class or third class but Priority Mail!
I thought it would take at least a week or longer to receive our purchase since it was coming from California and we live in Alabama. That is almost clear across the United States. Not only did we receive our purchase but the lady we were buying the collar from emailed my husband to let him know that she had sent the package out. I thought this was very considerate of her to inform us what she was doing. She didn't have to do this.

Did the package make it to Alabama in one piece? It was still wrapped up in the original packaging along with two training tapes included. I don't think anything was tampered with or opened at all. Looks like it came off the store shelf. Maybe in a little better condition than if it came off the store shelf.

Was I happy with my service at Ebay.com? My husband and I were very satisfied with the service we recieved at Ebay.com. I felt like we were dealing with a professional. At least she conducted business like a professional. Would I use this service again? I will use ebay.com again.

I have not purchased anything else from ebay but I do plan to in the future. I was really impressed with all of the merchandise that they have to offer. Another feature I like is that the sellers usually include a picture and a good description of the product. At least I have an idea what I am looking at.

What I don't like about this service? This is really not a gripe about ebay but I notice some of the items can be quite expensive. Most of the items I have seen are reasonable but there are a few that are quite high for a used item. Some of the items are used and they end up going for what you might pay in a regular store if they are new. If I am going to pay full price unless I know it is new and never been used I would rather order online a new product or go to the local store and purchase it.
