I joined eBay about 6 or 7 years ago and found it to be very useful and a great resource for getting great deals on products as well as a place to sell my own goods. It is always important to check out a seller before working with them and reading their negative feedback. I haven't ever dealt with a seller that doesn't have a feedback rating. In college, I went through this phase where I HAD to have designer jeans. I didn't want to spend $200 a pair at Nordstroms and so I began using eBay to find what I wanted. I would check back often for new auctions and then put the ones I wanted on my watch list. I would then get on a few minutes before the end of the auction and then start bidding. I learned in the past that bidding to early only drives up the price and draws more attention to the item. I bought my first pair of Citizen's of Humanity Jeans in Kelly Stretch and when I received them, I was in love. They were the best pair of jeans I owned and I only paid about $40 for a brand new pair. I've also used eBay to sell old instruments, clothing and text books and have found great success. I haven't used eBay much lately though because it seems as if you can't find as great of deals as I used to a couple of years ago. For selling my own items, I have started using Craigslist because it is free to post and you can either ship or arrange a pick up.
